Waterloo Region District School Board serves about 60 000 students in the Waterloo Region of central Ontario.
This site is managed by Ken Whytock, a grades 7-12 Learning Services Consultant, working at the Education Centre. This site is not the official corporate site of the Board; rather it is a website location for sharing resources related to initiatives I work for as part of my position.
Here are some of the features of this site:
FFP
The link to the FFP page takes you to the Futures Forum Project (FFP) a Board initiative which combines grade 10 English, Careers, and Civics courses into an integrated delivery model with one teacher teaching the same cohort of students all three courses over two instruction periods. The learning is augmented with a strong technological component which allows the students to reach outside the classroom to collaborate, learn from, and create for.
